Houston, Apr. 10, 2014 (MindShare Strategies Media Services) – Two supply chain specialists from Satellite Logistics Group (SLG) will share their expertise with attendees at Supply Chain World North America in Nashville, Tenn., April 13 – 15, 2014.
“Combining SCOR, Lean and 6 Sigma to Accelerate Continuous Improvement”
Dan Swartwood, vice president of process and technology at SLG, will lend his expertise in quality management in the supply chain. He will discuss how SCOR, Lean and Six Sigma can be used together in a comprehensive continuous improvement program. The session will be held April 15.
Swartwood is responsible for both designing and improving supply chain processes within SLG and for its clients as well as managing the company’s technology group. He has helped clients from a range of industries to analyze their supply chains and identify competitive performance gaps and improvement opportunities. He has also been instrumental in linking Lean and Six Sigma programs with supply chain analysis in order to maximize performance improvement. Swartwood has served in several roles within the Supply Chain Council, including the board of directors, and is a certified Master SCOR instructor.
“Innovation – Servitization – Discontinuation: How Lifecycle Stages of a Product Impact the Supply Chain”
Deanna Yee, PMP, strategy execution manager at SLG, will share insights on how to successfully align product and supply chain management. She will explore the integration of Product and Portfolio Management (PLCOR) with SCOR along the various life cycle stages of a product. The session will be held April 15.
Yee has served as a beverage industry supply chain solutions provider at SLG for more than a decade. She facilitates the integration of strategy into business processes to ensure that strategic initiatives are fully executed within budget and time specifications. She is currently involved in developing strategic, innovative solutions to deliver customer value. She is a certified Project Management Professional and an active member of the Supply Chain Council. She currently serves as co-leader of the organization’s PLCOR Special Interest Group and is a member of the Supply Chain World North America conference planning team.
